This policy covers this website only — heroshop.com. It explains the limited information we collect from visitors, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you can exercise under Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA. It does not cover the HeroShop commerce platform itself, which is a separate service governed by the agreement between HeroShop and each client.
1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect
We collect only two kinds of information from visitors:
- What you send us: the name, business email, company, phone number and message you submit through our contact form or when booking a call. We use it to reply to you, and nothing else.
- Basic technical and measurement data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and language. This comes from server logs and, if you accept cookies, from advertising and analytics tools such as Google and LinkedIn that help us measure our campaigns.
3. Cookies, analytics and ad campaigns
Cookies that are strictly necessary to display the site and process the contact form always run. Everything else — analytics, advertising pixels and the Calendly booking calendar — loads only after you select “Accept” in our cookie notice. If you select “Reject”, none of those are loaded and no advertising identifier is created.
You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. We keep a private record of each choice (an anonymous identifier, the choice, the date, the page and a one-way hashed IP) solely to prove that consent was obtained, as Law 25 requires.
4. Why we use it
- Reply to your inquiry or demo request.
- Keep the website secure and working correctly.
- Measure how our advertising campaigns and pages perform, when you have accepted.
- Send commercial emails only where you asked for them, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
5. Who sees it
Inquiries are read by the HeroShop sales and support team. We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work — hosting, email delivery, scheduling, and analytics and advertising platforms where you accepted — and only for those purposes.
Some of these providers process data in the United States or Europe. Before using them, we assess the protection offered and rely on contractual safeguards, as required by Law 25.
6. How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: 36 months after our last exchange.
- Server logs: 12 months.
- Consent records: 36 months from the date of the choice.
7. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent, or ask that we stop sending you commercial email. Write to info@heroshop.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Security and changes
The site is served over HTTPS and access to inquiries is limited to the people who need it. If we make a significant change to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
